“Safety always” is my motto when working in the construction business. A person can never be too careful, especially when working with power-tools. Concentration on the task at hand is my focus when I am working. There are many safeguards to consider in the construction business. The spectrum goes from wearing protective goggles to knowing the range of a power-tool. Keeping the work area free from unnecessary clutter is critical in regards to limiting accidents. The current statistics of how many people are injured or permanently maimed due to accidents with power-tools is shocking. The statistics indicate that too many people are not keeping within the safety regulations that are recommended. The nature of construction work can bring about hazardous conditions if people do not know how to handle power-tools. Careful planning of a project is just as important in regards to safety. If an individual plans out the project and lines up the necessary tools they will need ahead of time then they are limiting the possibility of an accident occurring. In my wood-working area I continuously strive to keep an accident free environment and a solid attitude about safety.
